Homemade acai bowl
This may seem like a complicated grab-and-go vegan breakfast, however, by utilising the spare time you have the night before, acai bowls are simple and quick to make. They can be a great way to add fruit and vegetables to your breakfast.
Simply make up a smoothie using any fruit of your choosing, pineapple, banana and mango are some favourites for adding an extra bit of sweetness. Our Cheerios Blueberry and Banana Smoothie is the perfect base for your acai bowl!
Make a smoothie ready for your morning breakfast on your commute. Why not dice up some blueberries, and nuts and add some pumpkin seeds, then simply sprinkle on top of your smoothie, pop in the fridge, and there you have it!
Simple vegan overnight oats
This is another night before breakfast prep. But vegan overnight oats are ridiculously easy to make.
Add 45 grams of rolled oats into a small jar, or container of your choosing. Then, 120ml of your non-dairy milk alternative choice into the oats. It can be sweetened or unsweetened, the choice is yours. Then cover the jar and refrigerate overnight. When you are ready to eat, you can add a sprinkling of cinnamon and some fruit toppings too. Alternatively, you can add these the night before.
Vegan breakfast bars
These vegan bars are tasty and full of delicious berry flavours. They are also easy to make at home too. All you need is, some orange or apple juice, jumbo rolled oats, crumbled Shredded Wheat Original® biscuit (45g), hazelnuts & almonds, dried apricots, raisins, and some sunflower seeds.
Simply pop the apricots, raisins and juice into a food processor, and blend until you are left with a smooth puree. Transfer the puree to a large mixing bowl. Then put the Shredded Wheat and your oats into the food processor, then add to the puree. Do the same with the nuts and seeds, then combine all the ingredients.
Line your 18cm square baking tray with baking paper, and spread your mixture evenly. Chill for an hour then cut them into bars.
Once your bars are ready, you can store them in the pantry, or dry space, and they will last for around 3-4 days.
